Two men charged with murders

Neil WilliamsTwo men were today charged with the murder of Telford man Neil Williams, pictured.

The pair, both from Wolverhampton and aged 25 and 26, have also been charged with the murder of Andrew Owen, of Sedgley, in the West Midlands, police announced this afternoon.

They have also been charged with three separate robberies and conspiracy to rob, while a 21-year-old woman from Wolverhampton has been charged with conspiracy to rob.

All three are due to appear before a special hearing of Dudley Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Mr Williams, 41, a single man, of Calcott, Stirchley, was found dead on a footpath off Churncote, Stirchley, on the morning of April 6.

His jacket, belt, mobile phone, watch, money and shoes were missing.

Mr Williams, who was 6ft 3ins and described by his family as a “gentle giant”, worked for Flexiplan, of Halesfield.

He was last seen alive at the Randlay Farmhouse pub on the previous evening.

Mr Owen, 41, had left a pub early on April 15. Personal items were missing when his body was found in Sedgley.

Police from West Mercia and West Midlands have been carrying out a double murder investigation.
