Florist to carry on after fire

Saturday 28th April 2007, 5:58AM BST.

dzine.jpgA Shropshire florist has vowed to resurrect his business after a fire gutted his shop just months after it was refurbished.

Ritchard Freeman, who owns Flowers By D-Zine in Pontesbury, said the business would operate from his home in the short-term.

Three fire crews were called to the shop, on Main Road, at 3.50am yesterday morning after the blaze was discovered by a delivery driver.

Mr Freeman said today: “We are carrying on from the house, which is near to the shop. I will put a sign up in the shop to let people know.”

He said the blaze had come as a huge shock, but he vowed to carry on as best as he could.

Mr Freeman thanked people in the village who had rallied around to help.
