Why give money to RSPCA?

Thursday 19th April 2007, 11:35AM BST.

Why do people give money to the RSPCA? Why don’t they give it to the fire service, as you read in the papers these days that it is fire crews who risk their lives to save animals and not the RSPCA.

After reading another excuse in the Shropshire Star that they refused on safety grounds to save a ferret, in an attic on health and safety reasons, they don’t even have a trap to catch the ferret.

As usual they expected someone else to do their job – then they would call and do the easy job and pick it up later and find it a home.

Again, we find someone else doing the job for the RSPCA.

The Fire Service are the only organisation that still do what they’re supposed to do. Long may it remain so. They are amazing!

    Hey

I understand all this. BUT! you have to consider the fact that the RSPCA are trying to consider the safty of the animals and the rescuers. They may not be doing much of a job but they WILL have a reason.

However, i do support your statement. The Fire service are alot more equiped to handle these situations, therefor do need more money to continue their good deeds. I think people should split the money EQUALLY between the fire service and the RSPCA! maybe one day in the future: RSPCA WILL GET BETTER!

Giving equally is all very well but what if one of your animals goes on fire?

I can easily understand all of this but we need to consider about the fact that the RSPCA need the money to help the animals and give them the life they deserve. I am a strong beliver in animals being treated the way as a human. Therefore an animal SHOULD not be treated any different to an human.
