Big TV names at Siobhan’s day

Fame Academy stars David and Carrie Grant were among the guests at a wedding in Shrewsbury.Celebrities, film and television directors and producers were all spotted at the wedding of public relations agent Siobhan Connor at Shrewsbury’s Catholic Cathedral on the Town Walls on Saturday.
Siobhan, originally from Crescent Lane, Shrewsbury, married Olle Kickler, a lawyer from Germany, in front of about 120 guests, including Five Live breakfast presenter Colin Patterson, a former pupil of Shrewsbury School, who did a reading by Sir Philip Sidney.
The daughter of Michael Connor, chairman of Shrewsbury Tourism Association, the new Mrs Kickler said she met the vocal coaches while working for public relations agency Taylor Herring in London.
Mrs Kickler, 32, said: “I have looked after all their publicity for four years. I met them while they were working on Fame Academy and I was doing the publicity for that. We became very good friends on a personal level. David and Carrie stayed over but they had get up to do the BBC’s Heaven and Earth yesterday morning in Manchester.”
Mrs Kickler’s cousin Victoria Derbyshire, also a Five Live presenter, attended the wedding.
She added: “Everyone fell in love with Shrewsbury and said how nice it was.”
Mrs Kickler married her husband exactly a year after they met on April 14, 2006 at a christening in Berlin. The reception was held at the Lion Hotel.
