Stretton golfers’ big day

Church Stretton golfers Jonathan Gindey and John Kelly will lead Shropshire’s assault on the famous Sunningdale Foursome next week.
They line up in a 128-team field which includes two former Ryder Cup captains – Bernard Gallacher and Sam Torrance – as well as Barry Lane.
Gidney and Kelly – who play off +2 and 2 respectively – do battle in the first round on Tuesday knowing victory will set up a battle with a team including rising European Tour professional Oliver Fisher.
