Familiar face joins hospital

Bosses at Oswestry’s orthopaedic hospital have appointed a familiar face to the role of chief executive.
Wendy Farrington Chadd will take over the position at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic and District Hospital in Gobowen in March, having previously been its finance director.
She returns to the hospital as its NHS trust battles to cope with the financial problems of a specialist hospital and looks to become a foundation hospital.
Former chief executive Jackie Daniel left to take up a similar post at the Coventry and Warwickshire Provider Strategy Board.
David Sear, trust chairman, said: “I am pleased to have Mrs Farrington Chadd joining us. Her experience across the NHS in England and Wales will help us to move forward the ambitious agenda facing the trust over the next few years.
“She is no stranger to Oswestry and I am confident she will be able to build on the progress already made.”
Mrs Chadd said: “The hospital is world-renowned with an excellent clinical reputation and we need to build on that.”
