Mick faces goal worry

Monday 11th December 2006, 11:14AM GMT.

Lewis GobernWolves boss Mick McCarthy felt his players did enough in the second half to have picked up a share of the spoils against Leicester on Saturday.

Lewis Gobern, pictured, equalised for Wolves, but McCarthy’s side then conceded a last-minute goal to give all three points to the Foxes.

“I thought we played really well after the break and we took the game to them,” said McCarthy.

“I certainly don’t think we deserved to lose that match after our second-half performance. But mistakes are made and we have lost.

“The lack of goals is doing us no good at all at the moment. If we had something in the goalscoring charts it would certainly improve our position.”
