Sweet sixteen and engaged

ring.jpgWhy are teenagers in such a rush to grow up? I saw one of my mates the other day, she’s 16 years old, and she told me she was engaged!

So many teenagers are getting engaged at such young ages and my question is why? When I ask, they say “I’m in love”.

I know what it’s like to be in ‘love’ but come on, we’re only teenagers, do any of us actually know the meaning of love?

It’s like the word ‘sorry’. People say it because they think it makes things better but it only works when someone truly means it and fully understands the concept of the word.

It’s ok to plan for the future but don’t rush into something that may not last. Live your life! Don’t throw it away for some ring on your finger.
