Police in the town have warned anyone else who attended the party should seek urgent medical help if they feel unwell.
The alarm was raised at about 4am yesterday following the party at a house in Swan Lane, off Beatrice Street, Oswestry.
Det Insp Jason Wells said: “At this stage the cause of their sudden illness has not been confirmed. However, it can not be ruled out that it is drug related.”
He said police were investigating the possibility both people may have taken drugs, including Ecstasy.
“We are appealing for anyone who attended the party to come forward to talk to us,” he said.
The teenager remains in hospital, although the 25-year-old has been released.
Police today said two men have since been arrested following the incident. A man in his 20s has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug, while a man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of breaching his bail conditions.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact West Mercia police on 08457 444888.
