breaking four windows in the store and one on a van.
And they wrecked the bus shelter outside the Six Bells pub during the attack.
Police were today examining CCTV footage from the area in a hunt for clues and made an urgent appeal for information.
They say the damage was so bad it must have been caused by more than one person.
Spokeswoman Maria Hawkaluk said house to house inquiries had been conducted in a bid to catch the gang responsible.
“We are investigating a spate of vandal attacks which took place along Ditherington Road between late Saturday and early Sunday morning,” she said.
“About five buses had windows smashed and the shop front of Motormania had its windows smashed. The bus shelter near the Six Bells pub was then targeted.
“We do believe there must have been more than one person involved due to the extent of the damage.”
Simon Sullivan, of Motormania, said he was shocked when he saw the damage vandals had caused.
He said: “We came in Sunday morning and the glass was still in the window but every single pane had been shattered.
“I was completely gutted. It caused a lot of hassle, especially on a Sunday,” he added.
