CCTV cutbacks fear for town

The move comes under massive cost-cutting proposals as council bosses try to save around £100,000 over the next six months.

Two members of staff monitor the cameras each day and watch for crime and public disturbance over 24-hours. But councillors have decided to make staffing cuts and introduce night-time only viewing.
