Attacker seen off by dog
Monday 25th September 2006, 10:44AM BST.
The woman, who is in her 30s, was near Marshbrook Way in Muxton, when the unknown man approached her at 7am on Monday.
Police said the woman, who was extremely shaken and suffered bruising to her face and body, managed to get help from a passerby.
They appealed to anyone with information about the incident to come forward, in particular the driver of a black Renault Clio parked in the area at the time.
Telford Police spokeswoman, Denise Wakefield, said: “The dog bit the offender on the lower part of his body. We would clearly like to hear from anyone who knows of any friend or relative who has sustained an injury of this nature in the last few hours.
“We also want to hear from any dog walkers in the area at the time who may have seen any suspicious activity.” Information can be passed to Telford Police on (08457) 444888.
