Not loving it
Tuesday 19th September 2006, 5:12PM BST.
So it was today when I took a call off my colleague Rhea Parsons who was on her way to our Powys office and driving along Town Walls in Shrewsbury when she came across an unusual site…a 52 ft lorry wedged between the houses and a side road that can barely take two people walking side by side, let alone a massive truck.
It seems the McDriver had “simply” taken a wrong McTurn after delivering his McGoods to the takeaway on Pride Hill.
Having left he Mc-ed up his directions and ending up causing a supersized headache for the people living in one of one of the town’s more prestigious residential areas.
I know how flustered I get when trying to reverse park into a space when people are hanging around, so goodness knows how the driver was feeling as he carried out a 753-point turn to get himself out of trouble.
Bless him for providing us with a page one story – but bet he wasn’t Lovin’ It!
