A 90-acre livestock rearing farm near Welshpool is to be sold in four lots by public auction next month.

Pentre Farm, Llandyssil, Montgomery comprises a traditional three-storey, stone farmhouse with a yard of traditional farm buildings and 90 acres of productive pasture and arable land.

The farm also has great potential for development, as the house and farmyard are currently within Llandyssil's development boundary and four further sites have been put forward for the next Powys Local Development Plan.

The auction is being organised by agents Halls at the Royal Oak Hotel, Welshpool on Thursday, August 30 at 6pm.

James Evans, manager of Halls' Welshpool office, said: "The sale of Pentre Farm offers potential purchasers an ideal opportunity to acquire a productive livestock farm in a good location with the option of between 65 and 90 acres of pastureland, together with potential for future residential development."

Lot one, which has a guide price of £700,000, comprises the three-bedroomed farmhouse, traditional farm buildings, a large multipurpose building and nearly 65 acres of productive pastureland.

The other three lots comprise smaller blocks of pasture and arable land, which extend to 12.32, 8.16 and 4.62 acres, all with good roadside access and guide prices £90,000, £60,000 and £35,000 respectively.
