Chuckle Brothers put on Shrewsbury half term shows
Wednesday 15th February 2012, 10:59AM GMT.
Family favourites The Chuckle Brothers put on a pair of swashbuckling shows in Shrewsbury.
The much-loved comedy duo were at Theatre Severn in Frankwell yesterday for two special half term performances of their touring show Return of the Pirates of the River Rother 2: In Stranger Tights.
Paul and Barry Chuckle have been entertaining generations of youngsters on television since the mid-1980s with shows such as Chucklevision and To Me, To You, as well as embarking on several nationwide theatre tours.
And the hard-working pair entertained audiences in Shrewsbury with two shows in short succession for their fans both young and old – one at 2pm and the other at 5pm.
The Return of the Pirates of the River Rother stage show follows the boys as they visit a theme park for the day and decide to brave going on one of the water rides.
The show is due to visit The Grand Theatre in Wolverhampton on April 7 and 8 and will run until May 27, with a final performance taking place in Manchester.
The Chuckle Brothers, Barry and Paul are real-life brothers and are the youngest in a showbiz family of eight. Details on http://thechucklebrothersontour.co.uk
