Rick Parfitt's son headlining Shropshire charity ball

The son of rocker, Rick Parfitt, is bringing his band to a charity gig in Shropshire.

The Moulin Rouge Ball will be held at Moreton Hall School near Oswestry on May 25, with the RPJ Band, led by Ricky Parfitt Junior, providing the entertainment.

The son of Status Quo's Rick Parfitt, combines his life as a motor racing driver, with leading his rock and roll band.

Megan Ford from the independent school for girls, said: "RPJ Band promises to have the audience on their feet, hands in the air and dancing from the very first song.

"It is one of the the most energetic, crowd pleasing, foot stomping, hands in the air, incredible, never to be forgotten best event band in in the world."

The May ball on the Moulin Rouge theme is being held in aid of the new Holroyd Community Theatre at the school.

Beginning with a sparkling reception and canapés the evening will include a dinner and a breakfast of bacon baps.

Fundraising for the new theatre will include a raffle for a holiday home holiday and a Head & Tails and champagne Draw. There will also be a chance to Sponsor a Seat within the new theatre.

Early bird tickets are available from Megan Ford at fordm@moretonhall.com before April 20. Tickets will be available after this date at the normal price.
