I'm sorry but I'm a fan of the XFM work, all his TV work (with the exception of LTS) and I found myself fully immersed in this show, he was less 'Ricky Gervais' as Derek than he was as Brent and I was genuinely moved by the show. It was funny in the way that all Rickys work is, it doesnt pander to what the masses want and that has to be applauded. Art should fill a few with emotion rather than make many share a passing smile.
