I agree that it wasn't rip roaringly funny and Karl was just Karl which was a bit distracting but I thought it was very well done, well observed (Gervais is the master of this) and very sensitive not a word normally associated with Gervais, I suspect that most of the uproar is from people who haven't seen the full program but are looking for an opportunity to attack Gervais.
