The Christmas snow globe will offer all ages the chance to have their photograph taken inside the attraction in The Square on Saturday, December 5, from 10am to 4pm.

Media light artist Andy McKeown has been commissioned to project snow images onto the Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery and the Old Market Hall in The Square on Wednesday, November 25 and Wednesday, December 2.

The light show at the Old Market Hall will be interactive, with the public able to wind up a projector to change the speed of the snowflakes.

The town 's Christmas lights switch-on was taking place tonight, kick-starting Shrewsbury's festive season,

There will also be Snowsbury fun this Saturday when seasonal street performers will bring a colourful touch of theatre to Christmas shopping in the town centre.
