The festival, which will be staged in the Quarry on the weekend of May 13, will include something for children of all ages.

There will be plenty on offer including craft and food tents, two water slides, an inflatable obstacle course, workshops, a foam party and a zip wire.

Organised by Beth Heath, who is also behind Shrewsbury Food Festival, Telfood, and Shrewsbury Winter Festival, the event, which is now in its second year, will be raising money for its official charity The Harry Johnson Trust.

Tickets and more information is available from www.shropshirekidsfest.co.uk. Tickets cost £8 for children aged between one and 14, and £2 for adults. Entry for children under one is free. The gates open at 10am and the event runs until 5pm on Saturday, May 13, and from 10am to 5pm on Sunday, May 14.
