Enchanted doors have sprung up along a one-mile trail at Fordhall Farm, near Market Drayton.

Maria Fodor, events officer, said "Adults and children alike can follow the gentle one-mile trail, known as Charlotte's Walk.

"They can collect 11 letters hidden near fairy, elf, pixie and goblin doors to solve the riddle.

"Children can experience a truly 'free range' day out." Charlotte Hollins, manager, said: "It costs just £1 for the enchanted door spring trail hunt and visitors will receive a certificate from the staff at Arthur's Farm Kitchen once they have found all the houses.

"There are lots of interesting characters to meet, like Compost Brownie, Old Spot Gnome and Otterbell Fairy, as well as all their friends." Meanwhile, on Sunday a 'green foraging mosey' and meal with medical herbalist Bee McGovern will take place at the farm.

Visitors will be able to take a two-hour walk around the fields of the farm taking a closer look at edible and medicinal plants.

This will be followed by a three-course part-foraged lunch celebrating wild and seasonal ingredients.

Nicola Shuttleworth, head chef at Arthur's Farm Kitchen, said "It's always a pleasure working with Bee to create an exciting menu from what has been foraged on the day, it's an opportunity to get creative and spoil everyone after their walk."
