Gary O'Dea, from Tipton, will perform at The Wheatsheaf in the High Street at 8pm.

He cites former Faces songwriter Lane as a massive inspiration for his own songwriting.

O'Dea is a solo acoustic musician who in June 2012 came to Lane's old stomping grounds in Shropshire, including his farm near Bishop's Castle.

He said: "He played with assorted 1970s musical luminaries such as Ronnie Wood, Eric Clapton, Mick Jagger and Keith Richards as far as local legend and folklore go, at pubs such as the Callow Inn at Bromlow, which was then known as the Drum and Monkey."
