Alan Parker, of Lilleshall, has unveiled his album Melodic Melodies. The 78-year-old will sell copies in aid of Severn Hospice, Hope House Children's Hospice, the Midlands Air Ambulance and All Saints Church in Castlefields, Shrewsbury.

Mr Parker's album contains his version of 23 popular songs including the Loveliest Night of the Year, One Moment in Time, Can You Feel the Love Tonight and Unchained Melody.

The music has been recorded with the help of pianist and musical advisor Gerald Burgum.

The album was recorded at Stage and Studio Services, Ironbridge, and produced at Golding Products, Hortonwood.

Mr Parker's wife Linda said: "We would like to thank Gerald greatly for all his efforts and the time he has given. Which he did all of his own accord.

"We'd also like to thank Stage and Studio Services and Golding Products for all their help," she said.

The CD costs £5 with all proceeds split evenly between the four charities.

CDs are available from Mrs Parker by calling 01952 603839.
