Dudley and Walsall cinema sites offer festive treats

Retailers like to bring us Christmas nice and early each year, and now cinemas are joining in the fun by getting us in the seasonal mood with some fun-filled festive events.

Starting on November 19, the Showcase Cinema sites at Dudley and Walsall will be offering cinema-goers a magical experience on the big screen with its Festive Medley.

The selection of Christmas-themed screenings will be shown throughout November and December and are guaranteed to get audience members reaching for the tinsel and wanting to build a snowman.

These include Andre Rieu: Christmas with Andre (pictured); The Australian Ballet: Cinderella; The Royal Ballet: The Nutcracker; It's a Wonderful Life; The Three Tenors Christmas and Bolshoi Ballet: The Nutcracker.

For those who love the magic of ballet, three traditional shows will be screened.

The Australian Ballet performance of Cinderella will be shown at the end of November; The Royal Ballet's favourite The Nutcracker will be transmitted at the start of December, with the world famous Bolshoi Ballet company's version of The Nutcracker seeing 2016 out on New Year's Eve.

For fans of classic films, Showcase will be screening one of the most-loved Christmas flicksof all time, It's a Wonderful Life, starring James Stewart and Donna Reed.

Opera fans can also experience the joy and spirit of the season with the best-selling, world-renowned opera trio's The Three Tenors Christmas.
