From buttery golds to bright reds, visitors can see the display at Dorothy Clive Garden, near Market Drayton.

Garden officials say this year the display of colours in the trees is even better than previous years.

Julia Roberts, from the attraction, said: "Visitors can also see colour in the Royal Botanic Glasshouse which is now open to the public and is the only glasshouse in Staffordshire dedicated to the display of plants for public benefit.

"The planting includes familiar perennials including lemon, grapefruit, figs and olive trees as well as climbing plants such as bougainvillea, plambago and a grape vine.

Autumn colours are still looking great

"The pathway in the glasshouse has been built in the shape of a Staffordshire knot and allows visitors to walk around the space encountering the spectacular planting which follows the colour spectrum."

Ms Roberts said the cafe and gift room would also be open.

The next event to be held at the gardens is a three-course Christmas lunch on December 11 and 12 in the garden tearoom.

Visitors will be able to take a seasonal walk around the garden before or after lunch. The cost per person is £27.50 on December 11 and £24 on December 12. There are limited places available.
