Having rocked the Kitchen Garden Cafe in Brum recently, an acclaimed folk ensemble is back in the region to entertain Shropshire.

Southern Tenant Folk Union will play the Edge Arts Centre at William Brookes School in Much Wenlock on November 4. They are the Edinburgh-based string band that over a series of albums have produced a thought provoking and arresting take on roots and folk music.

They are past winners of the Americana Artist Of The Year award and have taken their music onto TV's primetime political programme The Andrew Marr Show plus stages at prestigious festivals.

Last month saw the release of their seventh album Join Forces. Tickets for the centre gig cost £12 and £10 from 0333 6663366 and www.edgeartscentre.com
