TV celebrity auctioneer Christina Trevanion led the auction and said the contestants on the show had managed to find a great mix of "really lovely" items.

She said: "Bargain Hunt came twice last year so we were delighted to have them back.

"They had some really lovely items and a great mix. There was a mix of traditional and more eccentric."

The action showed two teams take in their treasures to be independently valued before going in front of a dealer for a haggling battle.

On the blue team was Elissa Davidson and Kelly Hanson from Hereford, while the red team was made up of Sandra Burgess and Jake Lawrence from Church Stretton.

The red and blue teams battled it out, while being led by antique experts Thomas Plant and John Cameron.

Blue team contestant Elissa tweeted: "Fab auction day with the legendary Bargain Hunt and the adorable, wonderful Thomas Plant."

The two teams first battled it out at an antiques fair at the Oswestry Showground in September.

For the eighth time, Bargain Hunt visited the event, which is run by the the family-run Amulet Fairs.
