Seriously Dead hits the stage at Telford's Oakengates Theatre

A new, star-studded play will come to Oakengates this weekend.

Seriously Dead will be performed at Oakengates Theatre tomorrow and stars Crissy Rock, who played popular character Janey York on the ITV show Benidorm.

Crissy also appeared in the 2011 series of I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here and is one of the joint writers of Seriously Dead, along with Leah Bell who is also one of the stars.

Frazer Hines ,of Doctor Who and Emmerdale, also stars. Hines starred as the companion of the the Doctor on Doctor Who from 1966 to 1969, starring in 117 episodes, more than any other companion actor in the history of the show.

He went on to star as Joe Sugden in Emmerdale for 22 years from 1972.

Seriously Dead brings together the lives of Albert, Betty, Billy and the local undertaker Tristan de Winter as they become inextricably linked towards a path that is leading to the pearly gates and a disgruntled guardian angel named Thelma on an ordinary day in the quiet little town of Olwinskirk.
