A Georgian take on a classic treat will celebrate an eminent English landscaper's 300th anniversary.

Capabili-teas will be on offer at Weston Park to celebrate three centuries since the birth of Lancelot 'Capability' Brown.

They will be served in the park's Orangery, which overlooks the vistas across Shropshire and Staffordshire, and were designed by the landscaping master during the 18th century.

Weston's head chef Guy Day will serve gingerbread with ginger cream, jumble biscuits flavoured with star anise and a seed cake alongside finger sandwiches and home-made scones with cream.

Teas will be served this Sunday, August 7, August 12 and August 14, from 2.30pm. Tickets cost £26 per person.

Booking is required by calling 01952 852106.
