It was the second year that FutureFest was held in the grounds of Grove School, in Market Drayton, to show off the talents of students and young musicians from the area.

On stage at the venue in Newcastle Road were local acts Heidi Browne and Cameron Forrest and performers from further afield, including Social Confusion and Leo Golden Child.

In addition to the music, there was an array of stalls including food and face painting.

The show's organisers took to social network websites to praise its sponsors.

"This year we have secured sponsorship from local businesses, for which we are very grateful," the organisers said.

Last years hundreds of residents attended the first ever FutureFest that was set up to give local performers an opportunity to showcase their gifts.

Leo Golden Child spoke of his enthusiasm for the event ahead of his performance.

He said: "I'm so delighted by the turnout and the continuous support from our supporters along the way."
