Watch: Shropshire debut for Phantom Of The Opera

One of the most popular musicals in entertainment history will be performed in Shropshire for the first time later month.

Members of Shropshire theatre company Get Your Wigle On have been busy in rehearsals for their latest performance of the Andrew Lloyd Webber spectacle Phantom of the Opera, which has recently celebrated its 27th year in London's West End.

Shrewsbury theatre-goers now have the opportunity to grab a ticket as the cast, who are all aged 15 to 20, bring their production to Theatre Severn's main stage from July 15 to 18.

The production boasts professional scenery and costumes as well as an orchestra of local musicians.

Following their production of Phantom of the Opera, the teen group will be auditioning for next year's performances when a new group of teenagers will be staging Les Miserables.
