Mr Lunn said: "We don't know exactly how many people came but we think it is around the 13,000 mark.

"We're really pleased with the attendance, if we get over 12,000 people we're very happy and it looks like we have, based on the initial figures.

"It's really good and we're particularly pleased to be back in Oswestry."

Mr Lunn said he was already looking forward to next years event - set to be back at the Oswestry Showground.

"We're expecting to host it on the same dates next year, we're looking at early September and which celebrities we can get this year.

"Our special guests this year took popular to a new level, it was phenomenal - they even did the ice bucket challenge.

"The White Helmets were also very popular.

"I've also had a lot of the truck companies come to me and say that they made lots of sales.

"I am more than happy with how things went.

"We had more then 350 trucks on site and we wouldn't have been able to fit any more on - the site was packed.

"I'd just like to thank everyone who took part this year, the truckers who brought their vehicles on site, the people who attended and all the Oswestry residents who were part of it - it is really nice to be back in the town."
