Revellers pour into park for Oakfest fun

Thousands of revellers poured into Oakengates's Hartshill Park for the town's first Oakfest music festival.

Eighties hit band Bad Manners, 60s rockers The Troggs, and Bruce Foxton, the original bass player from The Jam, all featured on the line up – along with a host of local bands and a host of tribute acts, including One Direction soundalikes Only 1D, Lady Gaga tribute Maybe Gaga, the Stereosonics – a take on the Stereophonics, Amie Winehouse and Kirvana.

Organisers said the event was a huge success, bringing in around 1,200 people.
