The event, which is now in its sixth year, is held at Halfpenny Green Airport.

It attracts thousands from across the country as it displays military aircrafts and classic cars.

Winds reaching up to 36 mph across the runway meant some planes were unable to be shown to the crowd. However, they were treated to a flight display by RAF Bulldog trainers.

There were more than 100 classic cars on show, which included Aston Martins, cars from the MG Club and rare models of BSA cars. In addition, motor enthusiasts had a number of custom-made models and military vehicles to cast their eye over

Vaughan Meers, who is the organiser of the event, said: "We had difficulties with the weather but we've had around 5,000 visitors over the bank holiday, which is brilliant. It shows that in the Midlands there is an appeal for aircrafts and motoring.

"Each year the event is getting bigger and bigger, we always seem to have something more lined up as each show comes along."
