Comedian Paddy McGuinness is to play Birmingham NIA in October as part of a UK tour.

The host of ITV1 dating show Take Me Out will play the arena on October 6, the opening night of his tour.

Tickets go on sale on Friday. For ticket information, click the NIA website here.

The NIA website said: “Paddy’s tour will make every night a Saturday night, and that will be true for the NIA as he comes to town on Thursday, October 6.

“Paddy’s effortless charm, charisma and disarming manner with a live audience are second to none. Watch him live and at his funniest on one of 2011’s most eagerly anticipated stand up tours.”

The comedian first came to prominence in Channel 4 club comedy Phoenix Nights and follow-up Max and Paddy’s Road to Nowhere, both featuring his friend Peter Kay.
