Shrewsbury’s Sixties Night Out series of theatre concerts continue next month featuring two well remembered groups – The Animals and Spencer Davis.
They will be at the town’s Theatre Severn on February 25.
Tickets, “frozen”at the initial prices of £19.50 are now available and said to be “selling well”.
The night of the February concert will also see the opening of the box office for the autumn Sixties Night Out event which is being held on September 10.
This will bring together the well-known Merseyside-based band The Searchers, making a return appearance, supported by the South Wales-based Amen Corner.
The concerts are being promoted by the local relationship charity Relate whose chief executive, Lin Foley, said: “Last time The Searchers were with us in Shrewsbury we had any early sell out and many of our regular supporters missed out on the concert.
“We have decided to begin selling tickets next month to give people a chance to secure a seat.”
The concerts provide a useful income for Relate whose counselling and other services are provided without any form of financial support from local government, the National Health Service or care services.
