Drum workshop at William Brookes School

Young drummers and percussionists are being invited to a workshop at the William Brookes School in Much Wenlock.

The event, organised by the Shropshire Music Service and The Edge Arts Centre will be held on November 27 from 9.30am to 5.30pm.

Two of Britain’s top drummer/percussionists, Ash Soan and Asaf Sirkis, will be performing during the day.

Shropshire-born and educated, Ash Soan, is one of the most sought-after drummers in the music industry. He has recorded and toured with Robbie Williams and Take That, Will Young and James Morrison.

Asaf Sirkis, Israeli-born and now living in London, has recorded more than 65 albums, in his own right as a composer/musician and with other leading jazz artists. Also performing is the Shropshire Youth Percussion Ensemble and Training Ensemble.
