The voice of one of Shropshire’s most popular morning radio shows has changed after a shake up at Telford FM.

Newly launched The Severn, which took over from Telford FM on October 1, has welcomed Neil Bentley to take over its morning slot.

Neil, 25, will now front the show which is aired in Shrewsbury, North Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin.

The DJ, from Telford, previously worked for stations such as 107.2FM The Wyre, as their mid-morning show presenter, and Telford FM before it merged.

The show is a mix of music from sixties classics to the current day, and everything in-between.

Mr Bentley said: “My love of radio began when I was just fifteen years old when I practised DJ-ing in my bedroom.

“I have a passion for music and I love to interact with the listeners by telling jokes, having a laugh and expressing my personality. I like to keep people happy.”

He has also had success in the field of voice overs including Liverpool radio station, Juice FM.

Neil is currently involved in The Severn’s vision of joining forces with the many entertainment venues in Shropshire to promote them and to DJ at their events.

Tune into The Neil Bentley Breakfast Show Monday to Friday between 6am and 10am.
