Shrewsbury’s Theatre Severn autumn line-up revealed

West End sensations, rock stars and top comedians will head the line-up during a packed autumn and winter programme at a Shropshire theatre.

Theatre Severn has unveiled its programme for events from this month through to February next year.

There will be concerts from Paul Carrack, former frontman of Squeeze and Mike & The Mechanics, the legendary Joe Brown and The Christians.

Comedians Jenny Éclair, Felix Dexter, Milton Jones and Sarah Millican, will also be at the theatre. Marketing officer Craig Reeves said the season would see a spectacular first for Theatre Severn as the venue hosted the spectacular Peter Pan On Ice in January, and the dazzling Chinese State Circus perform the inspirational tale of Mulan in February.

He added: “These entertaining shows are complemented by an exciting dance programme, which includes Swan Lake, performed by the Rudolf Nureyev Russian State Ballet, and Scattered, a breathtaking show from the Motionhouse dance company.”

London Classic Theatre will perform Harold Pinter’s tragic comedy The Caretaker and Pilot Theatre will perform Romeo & Juliet.”

Meanwhile, local Mad Cow Productions will return with a farcical comedy, Move Over Mrs Markham.

There are welcome returns too, for the City Of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Armonico Consort.
