Care firm to create 50 jobs in Welshpool
Monday 7th November 2011, 3:51PM GMT.
Fifty jobs are set to be created in a Mid Wales town when a care company opens a new office to provide home care for the elderly and vulnerable.
Radis Community Care will be opening the office in Welshpool this week, with 20 people already employed and a further 30 set to join them in the coming weeks.
The company, which will open its base in the Severn Farm Enterprise Park, will be supporting Powys County Council to provide home help to the elderly and vulnerable adults in Welshpool and the surrounding areas.
Lauren Bailey, branch manager, said she is excited at getting the service up and running.
She said: “We are a team of local people looking forward to providing reliable, first class care to people in our community.
“We’ll be working in partnership with Powys County Council, other practitioners and providers and are also able to provide services privately.
“Personally I am really looking forward to getting my team out into the community and making a positive difference.”
The firm will provide support for a wide range of people including those with physical and/or learning difficulties and people with mental health problems.
Services range from light housework, shopping and pension collection to helping people to get up and helping with medication.
