Off to university? Quiz our tuition fees experts first

Are you off to University in September and need advice about keeping yourself on a firm financial footing?

Or are you thinking of going in 2012 and could use some help making sense of the new fees that are being charged by universities across the country?

The new university fees are said to be putting off A-Level students from moving on to further education, with many charging students the maximum annual tuition of £9,000 – three times more than students currently pay.

So can you afford to go to university now? And will your course be worth the money that you pay for it?

Help is at hand with our tuition fees live question and answer session next week on shropshirestar.com.

We’ve lined up local experts to give you personal advice on your finances, information about the new fees and answer all of your questions about going to university.

Jane Batchelor, the Schools and Colleges Liaison Officer at Harper Adams University College meets young people throughout the UK, and advises them on the university admissions process, so is perfectly placed to offer advice to anybody considering their educational future.

And her colleagues Laura Harper and Claire Southgate, who work in the admissions and student records department will also be on hand to answer any questions – including those about financial support and application queries.

They’ll both be online next Thursday between 1 and 3pm to answer all of your questions on tuition fees, student loans and to offer financial advice and budgeting tips.

So leave your question in the comments section below now to make sure that your problem gets answered.
