Attractive block of pasture for sale in south Shropshire
Tuesday 27th September 2011, 12:00AM BST.
A versatile block of pastureland on Rowe Lane at Stanton Long near Much Wenlock in Shropshire has come on the market with Berrys.
The ring fenced block of undulating pasture land alongside the River Corve totals 9.43 acres (9.81 ha) and comes with a substantial field shelter, good road access and mains water connection.
Offers in excess of £110,000 are being invited and Berrys are expecting interest from farmers, equestrian enthusiasts and possibly investors.
“This is an attractive block of pasture with its own water supply and useful field shelter with hard standing parking area at the front,” said Sarah Reece who is handling the sale at Berrys’ Shrewsbury office.
“With farmland continuing to outperform other property we are expecting demand from land users, particularly the equestrian sector, and possibly private investors looking for a safe place to put their money.”
“In addition to the existing building there may be potential scope for further stabling to be built on the land, subject to the necessary planning consent,” she said.
The River Corve forms the northern boundary, providing natural drinking water and is an attractive feature of the land.
There are no public rights of way over the land and the field boundaries of post and wire fences and hedgerows are in very good order. The land has been registered under the Single Payment Scheme and the normal entitlements allocated to the land will be included within the sale. The sporting and mineral rights are in hand and will also pass with the freehold.
The land is being sold by informal tender with tenders to be submitted in writing no later than 5pm on Tuesday, October 11 2011.
