Shropshire Chamber of Commerce was holding an emergency board meeting today to address its leadership crisis following the sudden resignation of its president.

Anthony Randall stood down with immediate effect on Thursday following the resignation of vice-president Nick Chavasse.

And while the Chamber is continuing to run as normal during the crisis, it is currently without a leader while the issues of the last fortnight are ironed out.

Mr Chavasse was due to be the next president until his resignation, which came after he found he was to be a figurehead for the Chamber while Mr Randall retained power in a new operations director role.
