A discount store will open in Telford next week, creating about 35 jobs. Bosses at the 99p Stores shop today announced plans to open in Telford Town Centre on October 25.

The shop, which was formerly The Hub store and before that Woolworths, will stock 4,000 products ranging from babywear to biscuits and cosmetics to chilled products.

Hussein Lalani, boss of 99p Stores, which has 155 shops across the UK, said the company was working with the JobCentre in Telford to fill the new posts.
