Technogroup makes 18 jobless

One of Oswestry and Welshpool’s biggest employers has axed 18 jobs in an attempt to secure its immediate future, it has emerged.
Bosses at Technogroup, which runs Technocover in Welshpool and Jones’ of Oswestry, said the company had been left with no other option but to cut its workforce from 200 to 182.
They said 18 members of their staff had received redundancy notices and had left work last week – 13 have been made redundant in Welshpool and five in Oswestry.
