Blog: Election 2015 – First-time voters give their views

Tuesday 2nd November 2010, 5:00AM GMT.

Blog: Today the Shropshire Star time machine looks ahead to the General Election of 2015. With just days to go until votes are cast on May 1, we asked a group of first-time voters for their intentions.

David, 18, Shrewsbury: “I’m very concerned about the current situation regarding youth unemployment.

“I’m also worred about ever being able to afford my own home. I’ll probably vote Labour.”

Sarah, 18, Telford: “Education fees are a real worry for me. I’m very scared about starting my working life with massive student fees. I’m also very concerned about women’s rights and role in society, but I’ve been impressed with the coalition’s work on this. I’ll probably vote Conservative.”

Hannibal: “I’m very concerned about the prison food, Clarice. You can’t get decent liver at all. I’ll probably vote Conservative.”
