And Andy Sinton’s report card has plenty of plusses on it, with AFC Telford United sitting third in Blue Square North and the side still unbeaten.

The draw with Worcester City on Saturday saw the Bucks’ defence concede only the fourth goal of a meagre opening 10 games.

And with Steve Abbot netting for the home side the goals are beginning to come from a variety of sources.

Perhaps that is hardly surprising given the number of players on Telford’s books.

Sinton must have assembled one of the larger squads the New Bucks Head has seen in recent seasons, with hardly a week going by without a new face arriving.

The latest name linked with a move is former Saddlers’ star Netan Sansara – who is on trial with the Bucks.

And a quick glance at the match programme for Saturday’s tie with Worcester shows the depth of Sinton’s squad.

It listed 28 names and while Ashley Woolliscroft and Will Richards are out on loan, and Sean Evans is sidelined for the rest of the season with a broken leg, it is still a squad size most football league clubs would envy.

Worcester displayed a healthy 21 names to choose from but if the Bucks squad gets any bigger the programme will have to be printed on A3 paper.

While there is absolutely no doubt that if players such as Stefan Bailey come along, and the budget allows, Telford should bring them in, it will get increasingly difficult to manage a squad of this size throughout the season.

Players like Richard Davies and Danny Carey-Bertram have had limited opportunities and Carey-Bertram in particular has seen his path blocked by the arrival of Adam Proudlock and James Lawrie to supplement a striking department that already boasts Andy Brown, Alex Meechan and Steve Abbot.

While Josh Johnson, signed last month, has yet to feature and we have seen nothing of Jacob Rowe and Paul Harrison.

It will be interesting to see whether Sinton can keep all his plates spinning as the Bucks look towards a promotion push.
