Blog: People must ‘keep working after death’, says minister

Blog: Workers will no longer be forced to stop working when they are dead, the Government announced today.
Ministers say the age-old rules that state a person has to stop work when their life expires resulted in a tremendous waste of experienced staff.
“It’s insanity,” a Westminster spokesman said. “You can’t simply have these people lying about for the rest of their lives without contributing to society.”
The spokesman said the government was determined to end “discrimination” against people who were no longer alive.
“It’s wrong that we simply bury these people and eventually forget about them,” he added.
“They should have a choice to carry on if they want and feel able to do so. Just as long as they don’t try to eat their living colleagues.
“The longer dead people work the more taxes they will pay and the fewer benefits they will claim.”
Campaigners have hailed the move as a victory in the struggle against deathism.
However, the producers of the Jeremy Kyle Show warned that their viewing figures could be hit if the move goes ahead.
