River levels remained steady and fell in some parts of flood-hit Shropshire and Mid Wales overnight — with parts of the region finally drying out.
Flood warnings issued by the Environment Agency were still in place along the River Severn at Shrewsbury and Buildwas to Coalport, including Ironbridge, this morning.
Barriers in place at Shrewsbury and Ironbridge remained up and are expected to stay where they are over the weekend.

But the all-clear has now been given at Bridgnorth, Hampton Loade, Highley and Quatford.
The agency still has flood watches in place at the Severn-Vyrnwy confluence in Mid Wales and parts of the Severn in Shropshire.
Environment Agency spokeswoman Sharon Rob-inson said river levels were expected to remain fairly steady throughout the day.
But she urged homeowners and businesses to remain vigilant.
Shropshire Star weatherman John Warner said: “I would say the worst of the weather is over and temperatures will become noticeably colder over the weekend.”
A number of roads remained closed in Shrewsbury today, including Sydney Avenue, the road bet- ween Cross Houses and Atcham, Chiltern Farm Lane in Atcham and Gravel Hill Lane, near West Midlands Showground. Frank-well Main and Frankwell Riverside car parks in Shrewsbury remain closed.
- The funeral of hero policeman Bill Barker, killed in the Cumbrian floods, will take place later today with hundreds of mourners paying their last respects. The traffic officer, 44, was swept to his death in the swollen waters of the River Derwent when the Northside Bridge in Workington collapsed beneath him.
