Fears were growing today for an Ironbridge man who has been missing almost a fortnight. Sol Gaughan, 35, has not been seen since April 14.
Chris Ammonds, spokesman for Telford police, said: “We are extremely concerned about Sol’s welfare and want to find him as soon as we can.
“Sol’s family are very concerned about his disappearance.
“We would like to appeal for him to make contact with them, so they can be reassured he is okay.”
Police say they are following up a number of leads, but have appealed for anyone with information about Mr Gaughan’s whereabouts to come forward as a matter of urgency..
Mr Ammonds said Mr Gaughan was possibly in the Bristol area, but officers believed he was still in Shropshire.
Mr Ammonds said: “Although we believe he is likely to still be in the Telford area, he has now been missing for several days.
“Therefore, we are keen to hear from anyone who may know of his whereabouts.
“We have had no definite sightings of him since he went missing.
“Therefore it is vital we do a safe and well check with him as soon as we can.”
Sol is described as white, 5ft 10in, with short, brown hair.
When he was last seen Sol was wearing blue and white Nike training shoes, a fawn and cream-patterned Icelandic-type hat, blue jeans, a dark jersey, possibly pink socks, a hoody-style top and a red and white neckerchief.
